Pricing & booking

How much does a move cost?+

Prices depend on volume, distance, and extras like packing or storage. Local moves start from £150, UK-to-Europe routes from around £650. You get a fixed all-in quote after submitting the form — no hidden fees.

How is the price calculated?+

We look at the volume of your load (measured in cubic metres), pickup and delivery addresses, floor access, extras like packing or storage, and your preferred date. Our team reviews your request and sends a fixed quote within a few hours.

Is the price really fixed?+

Yes. The quoted price is what you pay. The only exception is if you significantly change the scope (more volume, extra stops, longer wait times on the day) — in which case we agree any changes with you upfront before moving ahead.

How do I pay?+

We use Stripe for secure card payments. You pay a 30% deposit to confirm, 35% around two weeks before collection, and the final 35% on collection day.

Can I cancel or reschedule?+

Yes. Cancellations more than 14 days before collection get a full refund minus a small admin fee. Inside 14 days, the deposit may be non-refundable depending on operator availability. We'll always try to reschedule first.

On the day

What time will the crew arrive?+

You'll receive a 2-hour arrival window the day before, and a real-time update from the crew on the morning of the move.

Do I need to pack everything myself?+

No — packing is an optional extra. You can add full packing (we bring materials and do everything) or partial packing (just fragile or awkward items).

What if I have something unusual — a piano, artwork, a motorbike?+

Tell us in the quote form or notes. We match you with operators experienced in specialty items and price it into the fixed quote.

Is my stuff insured?+

Every move includes basic transit insurance at no extra cost. Premium insurance covering full declared value is available as an add-on — tick the box on the form or tell us in the notes.

European moves

Do I need to deal with customs myself?+

No. For UK-to-Europe moves we handle all customs paperwork — including the import declaration, T1 transit document, EORI setup and any country-specific forms.

How long does a European move take?+

Transit times vary by route. Ireland is 2–4 days, France/Netherlands/Belgium 3–5, Germany/Spain 5–8, Italy/Portugal 6–10, Switzerland 6–10. We give you estimated dates upfront.

Can you store my belongings between moves?+

Yes — both in the UK and at destination. Short and long-term storage can be added to any quote. Useful when your sale and purchase don't line up.

About Vaniffy

Are you a broker or a removal company?+

We're a broker — but not like Shiply. We vet every operator, set the price ourselves, and stay involved from quote to delivery. You deal with one coordinator, not multiple bidders.

How do you choose operators?+

We only work with insured, GDPR-registered companies with verified vehicle and public liability cover. New operators are put through a trial period and monitored for ratings and reliability.

Where are you based?+

Vaniffy Ltd is registered in the UK. We have operators across the UK and established groupage partners in France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Ireland.
